Tea Selection
Our tea selection is like none other in Northern Berkshire County. We carry everything from Eco Teas Yerba Maté to the refined Twinings of London. There is over a dozen "loose leaf" teas from DIVINITEA available as well as many of the more commonly known bagged teas such as Stash, Celestial Seasonings and Barry's.
Creation Myths
In 2 separate ancient Chinese legends, tea was "discovered" when a leaf fell into a boiling pot of water thus changing the color and giving the water flavor. Another lesser heard story involves something a bit more morbid yet interesting none the less. It involves the founder of the Zen school of Buddhism. It seems that "Chan", after meditating for 9 years in front of a wall, fell asleep. When he woke he was in such disgust that he cut off his eyelids. When he did this and they fell to the ground his eyelids took root growing into tea bushes!
